Join us for a special concert celebrating all things New Orleans. Presented by Lyrica Baroque and Algiers Music and Artist Studio Foundation featuring the Amina Scott Quintet and a newly commissioned work by Grammy award winning composer Alex Brown performed by Jaren Atherholt, Amina Scott and Oscar Rossignoli.

Other works on the program include selections from Duke Ellington’s New Orleans Suite and original works by Amina Scott. With music blending classical and Jazz influences, this concert is one you won’t want to miss.

It's that time of year- graduation season! We are so proud of all of the students who have completed the 2025 Algiers Career and Educational Development (ACED) program. We are inviting family, friends, and community members to celebrate graduation with us on Saturday June 7th at 11:30am. We will have a ceremony to recognize the hard work of these dedicated students followed by lunch.

Over the past four months, these students have gained valuable career skills, explored local job opportunities, and engaged with community leaders and experts, supported by the Algiers Economic Development Foundation and Louisiana State Senator Gary Carter, Jr. We are so proud to support these young people and their bright futures.

Alejandro Brittes interprets chamamé, a music and dance genre forged of Baroque and Indigenous Guaraní influences in the Jesuit Missions of southern South America. Chamamé has been declared as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Ensemble is Alejandro Brittes (accordion), André Ely (seven-stringed guitar), and Carlos de Césaro (contrabass).
