ABOUT US
AMAS is the Epicenter of Music and Art on the West Bank of New Orleans
We operate a live music venue and a private Social Club right here in the heart of Algiers. We also provide music, arts, and private education. courses to young people through our AMAS Foundation. Our goal is to create a community hub that serves the adults, kids, and small businesses of Algiers and the surrounding area.

AMAS regularly holds events such as jazz concerts, book signings, poetry readings, lectures, and art gallery openings.

The AMAS Performance Space is also available to be rented for private functions like meetings and parties. It seats up to 75 people. Rate is $175/hr with a 2 hour minimum + an $80 cleaning fee. Can accommodate more people for an additional charge.

AMAS Foundation
Algiers Music and Arts Foundation, Inc., is a Louisiana 501c3 corporation. Our mission is to play a leading role in the local community by providing free music, art and educational programs to children between the ages of 13 and 18. Classes offered to the community are Music, Art, Reading and Writing and Basic Mannerisms and Etiquette.
By leading with fun programs like music and arts education we will serve a wide cross section of the community. Our curriculum uses innovative techniques taught by credentialed teachers to build self-esteem.
Our goal is to create” I can do it” attitudes in our young adults, and to instill an understanding of what it takes to succeed in today’s world.

But by night, AMAS is transformed into the place you want to be. It’s a fun environment where you can enjoy beer, wine, and snacks and watch your favorite sporting event. It also gives you premium access to the live events we hold at the AMAS Performance Space.
