We operate a live music venue, art studio and community center in the heart of New Orleans’ West Bank. We provide music, arts and private education courses to the young people of our community through our AMAS Foundation. We are a community hub that serves the people of Algiers and the surrounding area.

AMAS is the Epicenter of Music and Art on the West Bank of New Orleans
Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive, and diverse space where artistic adults, people of color, musicians, and artists can develop their skills, access resources, and engage with the community.

AMAS regularly holds events such as jazz concerts, book signings, poetry readings, lectures and art gallery exhibits.

The AMAS Performance Space is also available to be rented for private functions like meetings and parties. It seats up to 75 people. Rate is $175/hr with a 2 hour minimum + an $80 cleaning fee. Can accommodate more people for an additional charge.

Algiers Music and Artist Studio Foundation is a Louisiana 501c3 corporation. Our mission is to empower the West Bank communities by fostering a vibrant and inclusive hub for music, arts, education and personal development. By offering a welcoming space for art and community, we help bridge the gap between the rich cultural heritage of New Orleans and its future.

But by night, AMAS is transformed into the place you want to be. It’s a fun environment where you can enjoy beer, wine, and snacks and watch your favorite sporting event. It also gives you premium access to the live events we hold at the AMAS Performance Space.
